Abstract
Ortner syndrome (Cardiovocal syndrome) is characterized by progressive hoarseness caused by compression of the left recurrent laryngeal nerve (LRLN) by abnormal cardiovascular and mediastinal structures. Hoarseness due to LRLN damage, especially with aortic aneurysms, may be a sign of an impending aortic rupture. In this case report, aortic arch saccular aneurysm, a rare condition accompanied by progressive hoarseness, is presented.

Key words: Ortner syndrome, Aortic aneurysms, Cardiovocal syndrome, Recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy
